USBTinyISP Programmer with 6-pin cable
The USBTinyISP is the go-to programmer for AVR microcontrollers. Using the 6-pin cable provided, connect the USBTinyISP to your target board to download your program into the MCU
A USB cable with a type B connector (commonly used on USB-Printers) is requried (not included, but available separately)
Programming Arduino Bootloader
The USBTinyISP can program the Arduino Bootloader into compatible AVR MCUs by using the Arduino IDE: From the menu, select Tools => Burn Bootloader => USBtinyISP
Compatibility:
- Works with any AVR that has the ISP programming interface and 64k or less of flash memory
- Does NOT program parts with more than 64k of flash, such as ATMega1280/1281/2560/2561
- Does NOT program AVRs with TPI interface, such as ATTiny4, 5, 9 or 10
- Does NOT program AT90S1200 and similar legacy MCUs
